HANSENIASE - IMPACTO EPIDEMIOLÓGICO E PSICOLÓGICOS DURANTE O PERÍODO DA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19.

Abstract

Leprosy, formerly known as leprosy, is a highly stigmatized, contagious, mutilating disease that causes rejection and prejudice to the patient. that its evolution can cause serious consequences, such as disabling injuries, thus increasing the social repercussions. The descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, was carried out at the Center for the Service of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (CADIP), screening the data and medical records of patients with the disease after releasing the information through a term of commitment signed with the Municipal Health Department of the municipality. from Fernandópolis/SP, data collection was carried out, following the script of elaborated questions.It was concluded with this work that, different from what the literature reports, there were more positive cases in women than in men. There was a prevalence of psychological problems in women, since the diseasea directly affects the appearance of patients with the disease. There was an increase in cases in the period from 2018 to 2019 of 94.11%, and a decrease of 37.87% from 2019 to 2020, and the number of cases increased again by 112% in the period of 2021, which we can suggest the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, with leprosy becoming a neglected disease during its period.

Translated Abstract

A hanseníase, conhecida antigamente como lepra, é uma doença bastante estigmatizada, contagiosa, mutilante e que provoca rejeição e preconceito ao paciente portador, este fato é gerado principalmente pela falta de informação da população, o que pode originar na sua exclusão da sociedade, sendo que sua evolução pode ocasionar graves consequências, como lesões incapacitantes, aumentando assim as repercussões sociais. O estudo descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, foi realizado junto ao Centro de Atendimento de Doenças Infectocontagiosas e Parasitárias (CADIP), triando os dados e prontuários de portadores da doença após liberação das informações mediante termo de compromisso assinado com a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde do município de Fernandópolis/SP, as coletadas de dados foram realizadas, seguindo o roteiro de questões elaboradas. Concluí-se com esse trabalho que diferente do que a literatura relata, houve mais casos positivos em mulheres do que em homens. Houve prevalência de problemas psicologicos em mulheres, já que a doençaa afeta diretamente a aparência dos portadores da doença. Percebeu-se umaumento de casos no periodo de 2018 para 2019 de 94,11 %, e uma diminuição de 37,87% de 2019 para 2020, e o número de casos voltou a aumentar 112% no periodo de 2021, o que podemos sugerir a influencia da pandemia da Covid-19, tendo a hanseniase se tornado uma doença negligenciada durante o período da mesma.
