Why funding for Neglected Tropical Diseases should be a global priority.

Abstract

Neglected Tropical Diseases affect more than 1 billion of the world's poorest people. Control programs range from near elimination (dracunculiasis) to increasing prevalence (dengue and cutaneous leishmaniasis). These are some of the most cost-effective public health interventions in the world and should be a global priority.
