SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF LEPROSY IN REGIONS/STATE IN BRAZIL: LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to conduct a literature review on the theme social determinants of leprosy in regions/state in Brazil. It is expected that the findings of this review will be beneficial in order to raise awareness about the importance of epidemiological evaluation and diagnosis. Methodology: This is a bibliographic review on Social Determinants of Leprosy in Regions/State in Brazil. Results: At the end of the selection process, 9 studies were adapted and selected for the research, focusing on the main Brazilian regions and states with the highest leprosy index. Conclusion: The epidemiological diagnosis of leprosy proved in all studies that social determinants in health, as well as vulnerability and risks, are associated with the disease and its spread, especially in the north, northeast and midwest regions.
