Leprosy in Morocco: Discrimination Still Affects Victim--Learning a Lesson from the Original "Social Disease" A Student Perspective.

Abstract
The article discusses the stigma suffered by people who had been diagnosed with leprosy in Morocco since people lack much knowledge of the disease which is considered as incurable and contagious. Topics discussed include the case of Haleema who has been cured of leprosy since the 1980s who suffered emotional pain after undergoing cataract surgery and the founding of the Association pour Personnes Maladie Hansens (APAMH) which aims to end discrimination and integrate leprosy patients into society.
