INDICADORES EPIDEMIOLÓGICOS DE TUBERCULOSE E HANSENÍASE NO MUNICÍPIO DE MARABÁ

Abstract
Leprosy and tuberculosis are infections that have Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium tuberculosis as their etiologic agent, respectively. The transmission of both occurs from individual to individual. The diagnosis and treatment of the two diseases are outpatient with the aid of complementary laboratory tests, or imaging tests, using the treatment steps recommended by the Ministry of Health, in the protocols for leprosy and tuberculosis care. Therefore, this study aims to collect data, interpret and describe them, to refer to the epidemiological quantity of confirmed diagnoses of tuberculosis and leprosy, using specific indicators, raising the comparisons between incident and prevalent numbers in the municipality of Marabá region Southeast of the state of Pará. Quantitative epidemiological study, which used the notifications of leprosy and tuberculosis cases from the DATASUS-TABNET notification system for diseases (SINAN) and the General Coordination of Leprosy and Diseases in Elimination (CGHDE), in period from 2016 to 2018. The results obtained add up to 267 notified cases of tuberculosis for the entire period analyzed, males representing 185 of the total number of cases, females adding up to 82 tuberculosis cases throughout the period. Leprosy cases total 475, 290 of which are male, and female represented by 185 cases reported between 2016 and 2018. Lifestyle practices that influence community aspects should be improved, thus contributing to a decrease and control of infections of various types, practices aimed at promotion, prevention and protection strategies, so that the population becomes aware of these diseases and possible treatments must be encouraged, and with effective social participation they reach the reduction levels in the rates of leprosy attacks and tuberculosis.
