Impactos psicossociais em indivíduos acometidos por hanseníase: revisão integrativa

Abstract

A hanseníase é uma doença crônica causada pelo Mycobacterium leprae que acomete homens e mulheres independe da idade, étnica e nível social. A pessoa acometida sobre com perda da sensibilidade o que leva a ausência ou diminuição das sensibilidades térmicas, dolorosa e tátil. Por se conhecida por muitos como lepra, a hanseníase carrega com ela preconceitos e estigmas. Diante do que foi exposto, surgiu o seguinte questionamento: Quais os impactos psicossociais em indivíduos acometidos por hanseníase? Tendo como objetivo identificar os âmbitos dos impactos psicossociais e verificar medidas preventivas e/ou essências dos impactos psicossociais pelos profissionais de saúde. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa de estudos publicados entre 2012 a 2022, nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol, nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e Sec. Est. Saúde SP. Realizada com 07 artigos, a análise dos dados se deu entre os meses de outubro e novembro de 2022, onde foram utilizados os descritores na língua portuguesa: hanseníase, estigma e efeitos psicossociais da doença, os termos supracitados foram associados ao operador boleano “and”. Tendo como critérios de inclusão estudos disponíveis na íntegra, do tipo artigo científico, publicados entre os anos de 2012 a 2022, nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol e critérios de exclusão estudos duplicados nas bases de dados, que não se adequavam ao tema proposto e/ou que não respondiam à questão do estudo, por meio da leitura do título e resumo na íntegra. A amostra final desta revisão integrativa foi composta por 7 obras, abordando quais os âmbitos dos impactos psicossociais, bem como medidas preventivas e essências dos impactos pelos profissionais de saúde. Foi identificado déficit em diagnostico preciso, carência de capacitação profissional, autoestigmatização, aspectos sócias envolvendo trabalho/convívio social e falta de educação em saúde.Os impactos da hanseníase estão presentes tanto no meio social como psicossocial, de modo a afetar e modificar a vida da pessoa acometida. O diálogo, a promoção de saúde, a divulgação sobre sintomatologia da doença, escuta qualificada e profissionais preparados, são medidas preventivas e essências para diminuir tais impactos pelos profissionais de saúde.

Translated Abstract

Leprosy is a chronic disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae that affects men and women regardless of age, ethnicity and social level. The affected person suffers from loss of sensitivity, which leads to the absence or decrease of thermal, painful and tactile sensitivity. Because it is known by many as leprosy, leprosy carries with it prejudices and stigmas. Given the above, the following question arose: What are the psychosocial impacts on individuals affected by leprosy? Aiming to identify the areas of psychosocial impacts and verify preventive measures and/or essences of psychosocial impacts by health professionals. An integrative review of studies published between 2012 and 2022, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, in the LILACS, MEDLINE and Sec databases was carried out. Est. Health SP. Performed with 07 articles, data analysis took place between the months of October and November 2022, where the descriptors in Portuguese were used: leprosy, stigma and psychosocial effects of the disease, the aforementioned terms were associated with the Boolean operator “and” . Having as inclusion criteria studies available in full, of the scientific article type, published between the years 2012 to 2022, in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages and exclusion criteria duplicate studies in the databases, which did not suit the proposed theme and /or who did not answer the study question, by reading the title and abstract in full. The final sample of this integrative review consisted of 7 works, addressing the scope of psychosocial impacts, as well as preventive measures and essences of impacts by health professionals. A deficit in accurate diagnosis, lack of professional training, self-stigmatization, social aspects involving work/social interaction and lack of health education were identified. The impacts of leprosy are present both in the social and psychosocial environment, in order to affect and change the life of the affected person. Dialogue, health promotion, dissemination of the disease's symptoms, qualified listening and prepared professionals are preventive measures and essences to reduce such impacts by health professionals.
