FISIOTERAPIA NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA DE PACIENTES COM HANSENÍASE

No país a hanseníase é considerada endêmica e a faixa etária com maior prevalência é de quarenta a cinquenta e nove anos, em raça parda e sexo masculino. O principal sinal dermatológico da Hanseníase é o aparecimento de manchas ou lesões na pele, que possui uma característica hipocrômica (diminuição da pigmentação) em tons de branco, castanho ou vermelho e com hipoestesia térmica. O objetivo é relatar sobre a fisioterapia na qualidade de vida dos pacientes com hanseníase. É uma revisão bibliográfica de literatura na língua portuguesa. Utilizou-se as bases de dados LILACS, SciELO, Google Acadêmico. A busca foi feita a partir de 2020 até 2024. O fisioterapeuta contribui para melhorar a funcionalidade e, consequentemente, a qualidade de vida, tornando sua atuação necessária, eficaz e satisfatória, quando bem empregada. Diante destes pressupostos, pode-se concluir que o enfermeiro, o fisioterapeuta e todos os profissionais com o trabalho multidisciplinar são peças fundamentais na unidade de saúde, e suas atividades são de grande relevância para a sociedade, hospital, pacientes e familiares.

In Brazil, leprosy is considered endemic and the most prevalent age group is between forty and fifty-nine years old, brown and male. The main dermatological sign of leprosy is the appearance of spots or lesions on the skin, which have a hypochromic characteristic (decreased pigmentation) in shades of white, brown or red and with thermal hypoesthesia. The aim is to report on physiotherapy in the quality of life of patients with leprosy. This is a bibliographical review of the literature in Portuguese. The LILACS, SciELO and Google Scholar databases were used. The search was carried out from 2020 to 2024. Physiotherapists contribute to improving functionality and, consequently, quality of life, making their work necessary, effective and satisfactory, when properly employed. In view of these assumptions, it can be concluded that nurses, physiotherapists and all the professionals involved in multidisciplinary work are key players in the healthcare unit, and their activities are of great relevance to society, the hospital, patients and their families.
