EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE COMO AUXÍLIO AO DIAGNÓSTICO E CONTROLE DA HANSENÍASE EM UMA UNIDADE DE SAÚDE FAMÍLIA: PRÁTICAS EM SAÚDE PARA A FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL DE ACADÊMICOS DE MEDICINA DO CAMPUS DE ALTAMIRA DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO PARÁ (UFPA)

Abstract
The pedagogical project of the medical course at the Federal University of Pará on the Altamira campus is based on active methodologies such as the problematization used in one of its teaching axes called Integration, Teaching, Service and Community Practice (PIESC). In this axis, students come into contact with the Family Health Units (USF) from the first year of the course and thus can develop intervention projects that contribute to the promotion of community health and their professional training. In view of the course proposal and taking into account that the city of Altamira is endemic in Hansen's disease, students of the course organized lectures giving guidance regarding the diagnosis, treatment and care with possible disabilities resulting from the disease. Carrying out health interventions in the units is important for the population, given that users are able to obtain information in this way effectively and also that the contribution of medical students from the Altamira campus of UFPA is important both for the provision of services community and for their professional training.
