Union Health Ministry Strengthens Leprosy Control Strategy Through NLEP Workshop

The Union Health Ministry has convened a two-day National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) Review-cum-Capacity Building Workshop in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, bringing together health officials, district-level programme teams and technical partners to strengthen efforts to interrupt leprosy transmission.

Organised by the Central Leprosy Division (CLD) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the workshop began on August 19 and brought together more than 70 participants. The participants included senior officials from the Directorate General of Health Services, Central Leprosy Division officials, State Leprosy Officers, Chief Medical and Health Officers, District Leprosy Officers from all 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh, district consultants and representatives from technical development partners.
