Maharashtra Declares Leprosy A Notifiable Disease To Achieve 'Leprosy-Free State By 2027'

The initiative aims to boost early detection, treatment, and awareness to achieve a “Leprosy-Free Maharashtra by 2027.” With 7,863 new cases this year, the government stresses stigma reduction and timely medical intervention.
