J&K declares Leprosy a notifiable disease, hospitals directed to report cases
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has declared leprosy a “Notifiable Disease” across the Union Territory, making it mandatory for all government and private healthcare facilities to immediately report every diagnosed case to the concerned health authorities. The decision has been taken to strengthen surveillance, ensure timely reporting and support the national goal of achieving a “Leprosy-Free India.”
