Florida reports additional local dengue transmission, 44 more travel acquired chikungunya

The Florida Department of Health reported an additional local transmission of dengue fever in Miami-Dade County this past week, bringing the state total to 62 from four counties- Brevard (35), Hillsborough (1), Miami-Dade (25), and Pasco (1).

44 percent of the cases typed as DENV-3 (27) by PCR, while 21 percent typed as DENV-4 (13).
