Call for proposals: Toolkit for educators and unionists to promote inclusive education and end stigma and discrimination against persons affected by leprosy

Background

Education International (EI), the global federation of teachers’ unions representing millions of educators worldwide, has issued a call for proposals to create a practical toolkit aimed at supporting educators and unionists to combat stigma and discrimination related to leprosy and other health-related challenges. Stigma remains a significant barrier to inclusion and access to education, even though leprosy is treatable and not highly contagious.

Objective

The toolkit should help:

  • Educators and union representatives understand and address stigma and discrimination.

  • Promote inclusive, equitable and quality education where all learners feel respected and supported.

  • Support advocacy efforts with policymakers and the wider education community.

Submission Deadline

Consultants have to submit a CV and brief concept note by 27 February 2026 outlining their approach, methodology, and timeline.
