2025-26 Call for Applications for the Joint WPRO/TDR Impact grants for regional priorities focused on implementation research on communicable diseases

The WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) and TDR invite proposals for the 2025–2026 Joint Impact Grants focused on implementation research to improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries in the Western Pacific Region.

Deadline: 16 July 2025 (23:59 PHT)
Grant Amount: Up to USD 15,000
Study Duration: Up to 12 months (must conclude by end of 2026)

Focus Areas:

  • Epidemics and outbreaks

  • Diseases of poverty

  • Health impacts of climate change

  • Resistance to treatment and control agents

Research Priorities:

  • Integrated health service delivery for unreached populations

  • Innovations to identify and engage marginalized communities

  • Multisectoral and One Health approaches

Eligibility:

  • PIs must be based in eligible low- and middle-income countries in the Western Pacific

  • Research must be implementation-focused and aligned with regional health priorities

  • Proposals must be submitted in English via the eTDR portal
