WHO AFRO is pleased to invite you to the upcoming webinar on the implementation of the new WHO guidelines on leprosy: tools, and elimination dossier.
This webinar will provide guidance on implementing the new WHO recommendations and preparing elimination dossiers.
The general objective of the meeting is to accelerate leprosy elimination efforts in the WHO African Region by updating national programmes and stakeholders on new WHO guidance, elimination tools, and the elimination dossier process.
Specific Objectives:
1. To review the current epidemiological situation of leprosy in the WHO African Region.
2. To present the updated WHO guidance on interruption of transmission and leprosy elimination, including verification process.
3. To update participants on key leprosy elimination tools, including LEMT, LPTA, and the leprosy elimination dossier.
4. To identify key opportunities and challenges for implementation in the WHO African Region.
