Lucio Phenomenon In Non-endemic Area of Northeast Asia.
Abstract
Leprosy, which troubled a lot of people in the past, has become a rare disease in northeast Asia. As part of people's efforts to root out leprosy, the number gradually dropped, reaching less than 10 new leprosy patients per year in south Korea1. One of peculiar reactional states of leprosy, Lucio phenomenon which exhibits a restricted global distribution is extremely rare in nonendemic area of leprosy such as south Korea.
