Lepromatous leprosy mimicking basal cell carcinoma
Abstract
We report the unusual case of a patient presenting with a progressively enlarging mass on the nasal dorsum clinically suggestive of basal cell carcinoma (BCC). However, histopathology was consistent with lepromatous leprosy (LL), and polymerase chain reaction confirmed the presence of Mycobacterium leprae.
