Experimental Leprosy in Nude Mice

Nude mice continue to have a value as a source of viable M. Leprae for in vitro and other experimental studies. The success of secondary passage with M. Leprae proliferated in the lesion of infected nude mice to the other nude mice was examined. Using model of experimental lepromatous leprosy, our experimental results shows the establishment of lepromatous leprosy by secondary passage of M. Leprae proliferated in lesion of first infected nude mice into other.
