This study checked the action of therapeutic exercises in patients with chronic neuritis holders of leprosy, accompanied at the Reference Unit Specialized in Sanitary Dermatology Dr. Marcello Candia, adopting variables as muscle strength, pain and sensibility whose measurement through dinamometria, visual numeric scale of pain and monofilament of Semmes-Weisntein, respectively. Study participants were 5 patients, aged between 22 and 70 years, which were submitted to a protocol of therapeutic exercises in 20 sessions. So, it was observed that the strength of grip and pain showed significant improves with this scheme therapeutic suggesting a beneficial effect of exercises, however the sensitivity no showed statistical significance, but is no found there worsening of the same. Given this, the therapeutic exercise can be regarded as an important resource in terms of promotion and prevention of incapacity in leprosy patients, but still it seems necessary to make further studies to ratify the findings.
