AB - Molecular drug susceptibility testing was performed on 39 U.S. leprosy patients. Of these, 2 were resistant to dapsone and 1 was resistant to rifampin. Even though anti-leprosy drug resistance occurs in this leprosy population, resistance does not appear to be a major problem.
