AB - <p>We studied the effects of long-term therapy with horseradish peroxidase administered orally to mice with experimental leprosy. Horseradish peroxidase stimulated phagocyte myeloperoxidase activity that correlated with their functional activity, reduced leukocytosis, and produced no adverse effects on the liver.</p>
