Its importance should not be underestimated as Leprosy poses many problems which have some unique characteristics and special features. First of all it is to be accepted that our knowledge of Leprosy is still none to no where, in spite of the age old nature of the disease it is imperative to have proper records of the disease which may lead to invaluable results.
