special consultation of the Central Polyclinic, Camagüey province, with the objective of characterizing them, from<br />
April 1, 1999 to March 31, 2020. All the patients with a diagnosis of reactional states who came to the consultation<br />
in the aforementioned period constituted the study universe. A data collection sheet was prepared that allowed<br />
the information to be organized and that became the definitive record of the investigation. Descriptive statistics<br />
methods such as absolute numbers and percentages were used for statistical processing. Male patients over 60<br />
years of age predominated. Lepromatous leprosy occurred in more than a third of the patients. Leprotic reactions<br />
were rare in a third of the patients. Urinary sepsis was the associated disease that occurred most frequently. More<br />
than half of the patients who were evaluated psychologically, were affected.</p>
