However, one of the major challenges faced by India is the continued occurrence of new leprosy cases, evidenced by almost a static new case detection rate (NCDR) over the last decade. The article discusses the challenges faced by the country and the solutions available for achieving the target of ‘Zero Leprosy’.</jats:p>  a2582-3175
