Its main signs come from the appearance of spots on the skin and the loss of sensitivity in the affected regions. It is considered one of the oldest diseases, yet easy to diagnose, treat and cure. When treated late can have several consequences. Objective: To report on the experience of a health prevention and promotion action on leprosy, with users enrolled in a Primary Health Care Unit (UAPS) in the city of Fortaleza-CE. Methodology: This is a report of student experience, carried out during the month of October 2018, at a UAPS in the city of Fortaleza-CE. The action lasted about one hour, and was conducted by members of the Expanded Family Health Center (NASF) and a group of academics under the guidance of a preceptor physiotherapist. The target audience was the population present in the waiting room. Results: During the action carried out, some public interest was observed, due to the lack of knowledge about the subject matter. Throughout the activity, primers were distributed with basic orientations, explanations were made about the same and later explanations. At the end, guidance was provided on the free supply of SUS treatment.
