Erythema Nodosum Leprosum (ENL) is an immune complex-mediated reaction that may complicate the course of lepromatous and borderline lepromatous cases of leprosy. Severe ENL can become vesicular or bullous and very rarely breakdown into an ulcerative skin lesions and is termed as Erythema Necroticans (ENe). It generally occurs during the course of multidrug therapy, though its de novo occurrence has been reported. Prompt recognition of this condition and specific treatment is essential to reduce the morbidity and community burden associated with leprosy.
