Objective: Leprosy was diagnosed in an immigrant teenager with peripheral nerve enlargement and muscle wasting and treated successfully in a Western Country. Material: 15 year old girl of Afghan origin who emigrated to the UK 5 years ago presents with significant ulnar nerve palsy of her left hand which was gradually progressive over 5 months. No family history of note. Clinically she had clawing of ring and little fingers with significant intrinsic muscle wasting and thickened ulnar nerve on left side.
