Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) have been a problem found in emergent countries during decades. These diseases affect mostly people with problems such as penury, access to basic health and sanitation1. NTDs have been object of discussions due to the loss of thousands of humans lives caused by epidemics and pandemics. Although several formulations were developed for treatment of diseases, as well as vaccines and antimicrobials, over the years without renewing these options, the vectors of such diseases obtained resistance and many drugs became less effective. New and innovative methods of vector control, diagnosis, and treatment should be urgently, and also works towards the development of new drugs.
