Isopathic phenomenon of SAGHER was elicited in 21 proved leprosy patients (consisting of 7 lepromatous, 7 tuberculoid, 3 neuritic, 2 borderline, and 2 indeterminate types). The substances used to elicit the isopathic phenomenon were BCG lepromin, Indian ink and staphylococcal vaccine. Isopathic phenomenon was elicited in most of the cases and BCG was the substance which produced the most responses. The phenomenon could be used to classify difficult cases of leprosy.
