The CDKs were situated in the lower outer quadrant of the cornea and were not associated with trauma, scars or vascularization. All patients, except one, belonged to the lepromatous group. Fifteen of the 24 eyes with this form of CDK had impaired corneal sensation. We suggest that this form of CDK is a distinctive condition found among lepromatous leprosy patients with possible infection and involvement of the corneal nerves.</p>
