The study has shown that a good percentage of leprosy patients possess proper knowledge of leprosy in respect of its awareness, nature of treatment, consequences of lack of treatment and prevention of disease. Knowledge regarding the cause and mode of spread of disease and duration of treatment was lacking in majority of patients These areas should be given more concentration in educating the leprosy patients.
