It is observed that less than a fourth of the patients knew the causes of the disease while 40% feared that their children were more prone to get leprosy. Interestingly 75% of patients did not encounter any adverse reaction from the other family members, or neighbours even though most of them knew about the disease.</p>  a0254-9395
