The chronic course of leprosy is aggravated by the emergence of reactional states such as type 1 reaction (T1R). The occurrence of T1R is deemed to be a sudden and heightened inflammatory response that eventually compromises the skin and peripheral nerves (1) . T1R occurs more frequently among the unstable borderline forms (BT, BB and BL) but has also been known to occur in lepromatous patients (LL)(2).}, year = {2014}, journal = {The British journal of dermatology}, issn = {1365-2133}, doi = {10.1111/bjd.13430}, language = {eng}, }
