  abstract = {This is the first report in China, in whichimmunological defect animal-nude mice(NIH/nu/nu) were used for the establishment of experimental leprosy model. M. leprae taken from multibacillary leprosy patient were inovulated into the right hind foot-pad of nude mice and the results were compared with that of normal mice of CFW strain. The results showed that in early stage of infection similar growth curve was observed in two strains of animals.
